Background Information
It wasn't until Johannes Gutenberg in about 1440 that people could mass print and produce books and literate items.Gutenberg was a German man who was a former goldsmith and stone cutter. Prior to the invention of the printing press, there was a very small amount of books to read, but the printing press Dramatically expanded that number. This new invention called the printing press would serve for many purposes , including time saving. It would be a way to start the spread of mass media , religious thought, philosophical ideas , and more.
The printing press was a combination of many different inventions. The machine would give writing an identical feel and look. Mistakes within printing would be less than if it were written by hand. The press gave many choices for how to customize the writing, by changing margin and spacing sizes. Off of this invention, many more would be created. The printing press would definitely make beautiful pieces of writing. It was one of the most effective inventions of the modern era.
